Hooking title screens up to the main game is less fun

You know what’s super easy? Having your “press O to start” title-screen prompt immediately switch to your in-game mode when the button is pressed. Maybe with a fade-to-black-and-back in the middle if you’re feeling saucy.

Screw easy.

Once again, I went from a black screen to basic match-3 gameplay in a few hours, but this unnecessary detail took two days of false starts and frantic graph-paper scribbling to get right.
